Swimming with Whale Sharks In Mexico

Dreams Do Come True

Swimming with whale sharks has been a  HUGE bucket list item for me for a very long time.  I used to imagine what it would feel like to be in the water with them.  I would literally lay and daydream about what it would feel like, look like, what I would hear and it would make my heart ache.  Needless to say, when I booked our trip to Mexico during Whale shark season, it was the #1 thing on my to do list for that trip.  The fact that I got to do it with my baby girl was icing on the cake!

Jolee declined taking dramamine because she wanted to be alert for this experience. So she relied on closing her eyes and practicing some deep breathing frequently.

We booked thru EcoColors and it went seamlessly.  The price was reasonable, $144(no transportation) for adults and $136.50 for kids and included lunch, all snorkel gear, wetsuits(if needed), guides, dramamine(if needed) and a stop on Isla Mujeres on the way back for a little extra snorkel time or exploration of the Island. We were staying in Tulum so we decided to drive ourselves since we had already spent the money on a rental car anyway and opted out of the hotel pick up option which would have added to the price significantly since the tour company is based out of Cancun. The company sent us a text the morning of to make sure we knew exactly where to go and what time tot be there.  SO helpful!  I appreciated them checking in. ๐Ÿ’™

What are some of your major bucket list items?  I would love to hear them!
